A conversation with Jerry Solie

I first met Jerry Solie in 1979 when I joined the Evergreen Fly Fishing Club.  He had already been a member for 24 years.  Yes, 24 years.

Jerry is a quality person.  He was a good husband.  He is a good father and a good grandfather.  He is a remarkable human being.

He ran a funeral home and he did commercial fishing.

Since he was a kid, he has hunted and fished extensively.  He has taken trips where he spent a week in the woods alone.  He is a sociable and friendly person; he can also be a focused, driven, solitary, warrior.

In this video, I talk with Jerry about the early days of the Evergreen Fly Fishing Club.  We also talk about fishing and hunting through the decades.  We talk about this life and the next life.  Again, Jerry is a remarkable human being.
