Carp Slime Productions: "The Best Thing About Fly Fishing For Carp"
That's Carp slime dripping there, not water. It kinda warms my heart just seeing it.
I produced Lessons From the Carp Lodge after the 2011 season. It was meant to be instructional and helpful. This video isn't helpful; it's just for fun. It shows the best part of catching Carp on the fly. It is HD. Watch it in full screen so you can see the fish better.
I am working on a second one. I will finish it someday; I don't know when.
Enjoy...

Outstanding Mr.P!!!
ReplyDeleteImagine an old Hardy Princess sounding off, sweet thay must be. By the way, I rarely have that many chances at the carp I find, even my wife noticed that. Well, "even," isn't giving her credit, she knows.
Gregg
Thanks Gregg. I love it when the reel "sings the Carp song". I don't usually see that many tailing fish so close together. Those fish were very busy eating and gave me a lot of shots. I was surprised the first ones I cast to didn't bolt out of the bay and scare the one I did finally catch. Do you have a Hardy Princess?
ReplyDeleteHello Mr.P,
ReplyDeleteNo I do not but a Jr. High kid I took fishing a lot did and that was just music to the ears. Carp that don't know people, that also certainly helps.
Gregg
Man, I've watched this thing several times and that take gets me jazzed every time!
ReplyDeleteLove it, Mr. P! It's the takes! Addicting.
ReplyDeleteOk, that was just rediculous. In a good way. The carp around here would never let you get that many casts at them. You get about 2 max. I can't believe those carp didn't spook after 5 casts. Those carp seem very tolerant.
ReplyDeleteHi Kevin, thanks for stopping by and reading my blog. In this video I think it seems like there are more casts than there actually are. There are only six total casts. There are only two casts to the fish that takes the fly. All of the casts were good but I would still agree; those fish were patient.
ReplyDeleteI would add that I have plenty of video of Carp spooking on the first cast. Some of the time it is because my cast isn't well placed and some of the time it is because Carp are just plain spooky.
